Supporting our people to protect and improve their health

Mowlam Healthcare was one of hundreds of companies who took part in events across the country to mark Ireland’s third National Workplace Wellbeing Day, on Friday March 31st, which is organised by Food Drink Ireland and supported by Ibec. The initiative aims to improve employee wellbeing through promoting better exercise and nutrition in the workplace.

Mowlam’s activities kicked off with the delivery of fresh fruit hampers for staff to all 26 homes, four of which are in Limerick City and County, followed by a day of wellness activities and health checks.

Speaking on the day, Joe Hanrahan, Business Development Manager, Mowlam Healthcare, “As the largest provider of nursing home care in Ireland, with over 1,600 employees, we are delighted to support and participate in this important initiative, and to see it met with such enthusiasm within our nursing homes across the country, some of whom have already shared photographs of their activities on our Facebook page @mowlamhealthcare. The important thing is that it gets employees thinking about their health and that we as employers support our people to protect and improve their health. We are most grateful for the support of Pallas Foods in this years initiative.”
