Moate Nursing Home and Convalescent Centre is set in the grounds of the old Carmelite College in the beautiful town of Moate.

Mowlam Healthcare provides private nursing and residential care at custom-built homes throughout Ireland. We respect residents' rights to self-determination, individuality and privacy. Moate Nursing Home offers a choice of leisure rooms, in which residents can enjoy group activities from the daily entertainment programme. Other rooms provide for quieter moments: reading newspapers or books or simply chatting with friends. Residents and their visitors can sit or stroll in our landscaped private gardens. Moate Nursing Home enjoys a very strong community involvement and mass is celebrated weekly by the Carmelite priests.

Mowlam Healthcare's Open Visiting policy means that residents can receive visitors at times that are convenient to all.

Sing along sessions with local musicians, bingo and card games such as 45 and Bridge take place regularly. Two hobby therapists are provided. A full programme of activities including arts and crafts, gardening and music are available.
