Archersrath Nursing Home

Archersrath Nursing Home was opened in 2002 and currently offers 46 beds and a 16 bed extension comprising a mix of 34 single en-suite rooms and 6 double en-suite rooms.

This purpose built bungalow home, is set in the Kilkenny country side, less than 2 miles outside the City of Kilkenny. We offer a choice of leisure rooms which provide an opportunity for socialising as well as many recreational activities.

Archersrath Nursing Home is part of Irish owned Mowlam Healthcare, who provides superior care for all its residents at homes located throughout the country. Mowlam Healthcare, together with the Archersrath management, recognises the need for services of the highest quality and is dedicated to providing this service and more.

Residents own rooms provide for their comfort and personal needs and desires. Long-term residents are encouraged to bring in favourite items of furniture or pictures to develop that Archersrath Home-from-Home feel.

Mowlam Healthcare's open visiting policy means that residents can receive visitors at times that are convenient to all.

The Archersrath Care Team

Our committed and caring team is dedicated to providing the highest quality care, over a 24hour period, to each and every resident.

The home provides superior Nursing Care for short and long term residents, as well as respite residents. Convalescent care is provided for patients recuperating from surgery or illness and the visually and physically impaired.

Services Our professional catering team design healthy menus which ensure a balanced diet, whilst giving choice and variety to residents on a daily basis. Special diets and nutritional requirements are catered for on an individual residential basis and are reviewed regularly following consultation with nutritional specialists.

A programme of activities is designed to stimulate people's imagination and physical activity. Services include a visit from a hairdresser to our in-house salon and regular visits from a chiropodist. Visits from beautician, optician and dentist can be arranged on request.

Arrangements are made for residents to attend day centres if so wished.

Residents are welcome to retain the services of their own GP or avail of the Nursing Home's Doctor who visits frequently.

All religious beliefs are respected and the spiritual needs of every resident are catered for. Archersrath has a dedicated Oratory for private prayer.
